Mrs. Nita Ambani receives the national award at Rashtrapati Bhawan for inspiring youth in sports. The foundation’s chairperson Nita Ambani accepted the award from President Ramnath Kovind.
Reliance Foundation helps in spreading sportsmanship among the youth of the country. It celebrates August 29 as Sports Day annually in rural areas across 12 states in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Dhyan Chand. The Sports Day is designed to promote community connection through active participation in various games and activities organized during the event.
The Reliance Foundation has helped forge an interest towards sports among the youth of the country. Formed in 2010, it has enabled the youth to take up leadership roles in the community to become mentors to the rural kids in our country.
Ambani responded to the occasion through Reliance Jio’s social media accounts, saying, “Humbled to receive the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar from our Hon’ble President Shri Ram Nath Kovind on this #NationalSportsDay.”
